{"id":303,"date":"2015-08-28T11:13:36","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T11:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.winchesterscope.org\/?page_id=303"},"modified":"2021-10-07T16:53:37","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T16:53:37","slug":"test-home-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.winchesterscope.org\/?page_id=303","title":{"rendered":"Our Aims"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>\u00a0Our Aims<\/h3>\n<p>The aims of Winchester &amp; District Scope Charity are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide information, advice and support for people with cerebral palsy and their families and carers<\/li>\n<li>To provide financial support through grants to individuals and families<\/li>\n<li>To assist adults and families who live within our catchment area of Winchester\u00a0 and \u00a0Eastleigh.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What We Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We assist individuals who are facing a crisis, such as the sudden breakdown of essential domestic equipment, or where financial assistance is required in\u00a0 order to obtain therapy or equipment that is vital to them or their children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How Do We Do It?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We meet quarterly to consider applications submitted. If approved a cheque is sent.\u00a0 \u00a0Only in the case of a more emergency need will all Executives be consulted for their approval if no meeting is imminent..\u00a0 \u00a0A cheque can then be sent and advice made where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>Referrals may come through Social Services, NHS Paediatric Physio and Occupational Therapists, other voluntary organisations or people may self refer.<\/p>\n<p>Establishments such as schools can also come to us for help.
