Cream Tea & AGM 2010
Building on last year’s success, Winchester & District Scope is again holding a CREAM TEA AND GAMES AGM on Saturday 26 June from 2 – 4pm at a new venue for us – Littleton Memorial Hall. Kerry from the Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre has agreed to talk about “The benefits of riding for young disabled people” which can increase their self-respect and self-esteem.
We want it to be a social day – a chance to chat over our cream tea, or a cool drink if preferred, with ice-creams for the kids to enjoy while having fun with a few games.
We launched our website last year – so we’d welcome any ideas on how we can improve it. We’ll have a couple of laptops to demonstrate our website and hopefully James Rose who put our website together, will be there too.
It’s time again for us to report on what we have been doing over the past year, to re-elect our committee, to find a new Chairman and approve our Annual Report. But the formalities of our AGM will be squeezed and dealt with quickly and painlessly – you’ll hardly notice!
For more information contact Denny or Shirley Kenneally on 01962 880734 or by e-mailing admin@winchester-scope.org.uk.

NOTE TO EDITORS
Winchester & District Scope has been operating since 1963 with the aim of helping to improve the lives of people with cerebral palsy, their families or carers and offering small grants to assist with equipment, therapy or holidays.
Our AGM this year will be another fun and games event. In the hope of encouraging parents to join us with their children for an enjoyable afternoon at Littleton Memorial Hall As we are currently helping with funding towards riding sessions for a local young disabled woman we have become aware of the benefits of Riding Therapy at the Centre hence our invitation to them to send a guest speaker.
